Wayne and Linda Jones came to East River Fellowship in January 2008 and immediately sensed God’s calling that they were in the right place at the right time and that God had a special assignment for them.  With their experience in the Vineyard Movement for the last 20 years from the worship ministry, children’s ministry, benevolence ministry, and prayer team, they eagerly started with the children’s ministry at East River Fellowship in May 2008. 

Their desire as Children’s Ministry Director’s is based on Matthew 19:14.  Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  They want to raise the children up in the church in God’s Love, knowledge of the scriptures, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Wayne and Linda have been married for 15 fabulous years and have 3 beautiful children; 2 girls and 1 boy.  Teaching the children, they say, is what they were created to do.  Wayne is an equipment operator at OHSU and Linda is a Senior Pharmacy Tech for a retail chain.
